About this Blog

My name is Cathy Wagner. I am a librarian, and I like to visit special libraries. I started taking pictures of my visits, someone suggested I write about them, and this blog was born. The posts are about special libraries and collections. I was updating once a week, however since the blogs inception I found a full time job, took on more volunteer work with my chapter of SLA, and the blog has been overcome by events. The posts are a great introduction to some of the special libraries out there. I'm always on the lookout for guest bloggers or if anyone would like to take up the mantle of regularly posting to the site. If you would like to contribute to this blog, please contact me: catzegcat (at) yahoo.com. You can also reach me on Twitter @catzegcat.

If you're now wondering, what is a special library, read this post where I try my best to explain.

All pictures on this blog are taken by me unless otherwise credited or linked to the original. You may re-post or re-use mine, but please credit them appropriately.

Use the library map to find libraries mentioned on the blog geographically. Use the archive list on the navigation bar to browse through past posts, and use the index pages listed on the right hand navigation bar for government libraries, special collections, museums, archives, and societies for a topical list. Take some time to look around, and learn about special libraries collections and services; there's a lot to love.
